ABOUT DJ FA’DORAH
DJ Fa’Dorah is a passionate and multi-talented creative, artist and entertainer who has left an undeniable mark on the Denver music scene for over 15 years. He has a reputation for carefully curating and magically arranging records, drawing from nostalgic R&B and underground soul to create a one-of-a-kind atmosphere unique to each event and audience. Fa’Dorah’s love of music began at a young age and has seen him through many of life’s highs and lows.
Born and raised in Boulder, Colorado, Fa’Dorah began his musical journey with a deep connection to gospel music, fostering a soulful foundation that still resonates in his current sound. In Fa’Dorah's early years he excelled not only as a musician but also as a state-ranked football prospect, earning multiple scholarships before redirecting his path to the dance program at Prairie View A&M University. His trajectory in the dance world took him to the prestigious Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater and New York City Ballet. A decision to prioritize family led him back to Colorado to co-found Unleashed Dance Studios, where he gained recognition as a sought-after salsa instructor and master teacher. The closure of Unleashed marked a challenging period intensified by the diagnosis of his mother’s Stage Four Breast Cancer. Fueled by a promise he made before her passing, Fa’Dorah earned a Master's in Music with a focus on Composition from Colorado State University.
Fa’Dorah's journey into DJing unfolded over the course of two years, evolving from playing Latin music to spinning club hits. He distinguishes his sets by prioritizing positive vibes and his eclectic sound has graced renowned venues like Red Rocks Amphitheater and the set of Good Morning America. Fa’Dorah’s infectious vibe and growing reputation earned him opportunities to spin for high-profile events including Lebron James' Birthday Party, opening for notable artists like Al B. Sure!, and DJing for First Lady Michelle Obama. In 2023, he made history as the first Locker Room DJ at the prestigious University of Colorado Boulder. DJing for Coach Deion Sanders and the football team he continues to break barriers with his authentic and distinctive approach to music and space activation. Fa’Dorah's commitment to community is evident in his countless volunteer hours and involvement in community service projects. He also curates a weekly podcast, "The Big Couch," which highlights Denver talent and culture. Through his enduring passion for music, Fa’Dorah seeks to spread healing and positivity, bending genres to deliver a message of love wherever his music takes him.
